From 18 to 19 October 2024, Bari hosted a conference that brought together leading experts in the conservative hemodynamic treatment and diagnosis of venous insufficiency of the lower limbs.
This conference aimed to promote the hemodynamic culture in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic venous insufficiency, in the interest of patients.
The event was attended by experts from South America, China, South Korea, Vietnam, and the European Union, including Italy.
Experiences and procedures in the diagnosis and conservative hemodynamic treatment of venous insufficiencies were compared, and the role of the great saphenous vein as a vascular prosthesis was discussed.
The discussion focused on three main areas: the pathophysiology of venous insufficiency of the lower limbs, the impact of the hemodynamic assessment on the therapeutic strategy, and the added value of venous conservation in restoring proper venous function.
