A.I.I.F.Em. for Healthcare Professionals

The Academy, as a non-profit organization, is responsible for promoting Hemodynamic Phlebology among healthcare professionals by organizing courses, master's programs, and conferences.
Hemodynamic Phlebology analyzes the functioning of blood flow in the veins through an in-depth color Doppler ultrasound study. This situation is graphically reported, creating a "Hemodynamic Map" that serves as a guide for appropriate therapeutic intervention, restoring the physiology of venous circulation.

It also organizes public meetings to raise awareness of the potential benefits of preserving the saphenous veins, which could be life-saving, as they can be used for coronary artery bypass surgery or limb salvage.

What we do

The hemodynamic phlebologist can identify dysfunctional venous valve pathologies through static and dynamic tests.
These tests allow the precise identification of pathological leak points to treat, protective re-entry points, and leak points in open vicariant shunts to respect.

Following a detailed vascular examination, the hemodynamic cartography illustrates all diastolic and systolic events and will guide the selection of the appropriate treatment strategy.
Hemodynamics provides the basis for the C.H.I.V.A. strategy in both superficial and deep venous pathology. Thanks to the efforts of Dr Claude Franceschi and his students, the C.H.I.V.A. method has acquired considerable relevance, as it has been validated by RCT studies, meta-analyses, and network meta-analyses.
